Sils in the Engadin, at 1,802 metres above sea level, is nestled between Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana, ca. 10 km away from St Moritz. The Corvatsch-Furtschellas ski paradise, with its peak at 3,300 meters, can easily be reached from the house.
Holidaymakers who found St. Moritz too lively moved on to Sils Maria. While this is what happened a hundred years ago, it is still the case today.
